3rd Annual ESHO Sensius Young Investigators Award

Sponsored by Sensius, the European Society for Hyperthermic Oncology (ESHO) has awarded the Young Investigators Award to Morteza Ghaderi Aram during its annual meeting in Warsaw, Poland.

Morteza is a PhD student in the Biomedical Electromagnetics group of Chalmers. He joined the team of Mikael Persson and Hana Dobsicek Trefna last year after having obtained his Masters degree in Tehran.

His focus is on Microwave Hyperthermia (MWHT) and specifically its application in head and neck cancer therapy. The aim is to develop effective treatment planning that keeps side effects of this non-invasive therapy at a minimum. For this purpose, Morteza works closely with Sahlgrenska University Hospital and MedTech West .
